For distributors

For distributors & festivals

ScreenTimes catalogs the venues that art-house and indie distributors most often want to reach. This page is the short version of how we can be useful to you.

Coordinated programming surfacing

When a release plays across multiple venues in our directory in the same week, we automatically link the cinema and film pages together. A specialty release that opens at twenty venues across twelve cities gets twenty cross-linked detail pages and one consolidated film page that carries every showtime in one place. For audiences trying to figure out where the film is playing, that is the page they tend to land on. For distributors, that is the page you tend to want them to land on.

Festival residencies

Touring festival programs (regional indie festivals, foreign-language showcases, documentary tours, repertory restoration weeks) tend to surface poorly through general listings sites because they slot into existing venue calendars rather than booking standalone weeks. ScreenTimes treats them as first-class objects: each touring program gets its own page, with the cinemas hosting it surfaced as a list. If you are operating a touring program and want it surfaced, we'd love to hear from you. A working list of touring-program operators is a useful adjacent reference for festival circuits.

Editorial considerations

We do not accept paid editorial placement. We do not allow distributors to determine the order of films on category pages, or to influence the language used in plot summaries. We do accept advertising in clearly labeled slots, including takeover-style promotional placements during release weekends. Coverage and advertising are kept on opposite sides of a wall, and we are happy to talk through the details before any commitment.

Data partnerships

If you have showtime data or screening confirmation data that you want loaded directly into the directory, we accept it in standard ICS, JSON, or CSV formats. For larger catalogs, a webhook or scheduled fetch can be arranged. We do not redistribute partner data outside the directory.

Get in touch

For any of the above, the right starting point is our contact page. Mention that the inquiry is from a distributor or festival operator and we will route it to the right desk. Industry data on theatrical-window economics is useful background for any release-strategy conversation.
